Recently, Anubhuti - 2017- the youth festival of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research, Deekshabhoomi, successfully concluded with a bang at Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Hall.
All the academic events such as Debate, Case Study, Personality, Quiz and Ad-Making were conducted at Parampujya Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Auditorium, Deekshabhoomi on 26 th sept. whereas the cultural program involving Dance, Singing, Drama and Fashion Show were held at Dr.Vasantrao Deshpande Hall on 27 th sept.
Maximum participation from all the prominent colleges of Nagpur made this event a grand success. Around 300 entries were recorded for the event. Dr. Sudhir Fulzele (Director DAIMSR), Dr. Nirzar Kulkarni (Assoicate Director) and Dr. Ashutosh Paturkar- (Dean Academics) inaugurated the event by lamp lighting ceremony and offering patels to Parampujya Dr B.R. Ambedkar & Lord Buddha.
Director of the institute, Dr. Sudhir Fulzele, addressed the gathering and congratulated all the students for organizing the event and gave his best wishes for all the future endeavors. The theme for the event was “The Changing India” which was wonderfully depicted through drama and Debate by participants who covered social issues like GST and De-monetization.
Eminent personalities of Nagpur were present as judges for various events. Mr. Yugal Rayulu judged the Debate competition, Mrs. Poonam Kukreja Khandelwal and Mr. Rohit Khandelwal judged the Personality contest, Mr. Nikhilesh sawarkar was present to judge the Ad-making, Dr. Sujit Metre assessed the participants of case study completion.
DnD Choreographers Mr. Dinesh Hadke and Mr. Dheeraj Mishra judged the Confi-Dance competition, Mr. Nehal Khan was the jury for singing, Mr. Darryl Grant the rockstar was the superjury for Rock band contest. Prof. Vivek Aloni and Mr. Sanjay Jivane was present to judge the Drama and Mr. Sushil Tripathi was the judge for fashion show. Prof. Vivek Aloni also highly appreciated the participants and congratulated organizing committee for various events of the event. This event witnessed some of the best performances by the participants, where one such event was Debate. Judge for the debate Mr. Yugal Rayulu said, “This was the Best Debate competition I have witnessed in the past few years.” He also said that he wish to be a student again so as to keep growing his knowledge and enjoying as opposed to his present situation.
Fashion Show was another such event which had the theme of Garage. A 6 year old girl walking the ramp as a participant with one team was the cynosure of all the eyes. The crowd went crazy when the same team won the fashion show competition.Personality contest had some wonderful performances by participants where one of the contestants performed the skit of being a acid attack survivor, which received standing ovation from the Judges.
The coveted title of Mr and Ms. Anubhuti 2017 was the highlight of the event. Ms. Tanvi Sharma was crowned Ms. Anubhuti while Mr. Abhi Vajpayee bagged the title of Mr. Anubhuti 2017. Tirpute College grabbed the Best College trophy with maximum number of winners from the same. The event also witnessed some of the most mesmerizing performances by students in the form of dance and singing. Where students danced on the tune of “mere desh ki dharti sona ugle”, singing “Kinna Sona Tenu Rab ne Banaya..” did full justice to the theme. All the fillers were performed by the students of DAIMSR, which included the Dance number by Hitesh Somkumar and Team –“Kya Lagti Hai, Hai Rabba”, singing by Rohit & Team on – “Tera Rashke Kamar….” & Fashion sequence by Ravi n Team.
Dean academics Dr. Ashutosh Paturkar,Dr. Sujit Metre and Dr. Anirudh Bodhankar distributed the awards and certificate to all the participants and congratulated all the winners. Prof. Chandresh Chakraborty – event coordinator congratulated the junior and the senior heads for this event, who really worked hard to make this event a grand success , a special thanks was given to Prof. Anup Dhore, and head student co-ordinators Ms. Ashwini Vaidya and Mr. Ashay Naseri. He also thanked all the faculty members of the college and Media for the covering the event.
