Members from TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) – Prof. Satyajit Majumdar (Head Centre for Social Entrepreneurship, School of Management and Labour Studies) & Mr. Raviraj Durwas (Programme Manager, Incubation centre, TISS, Mumbai) recently visited Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research, deekshabhoomi, for interaction with the faculty members of the institute. Prof. Majumdar, discussed several issues related to social entrepreneurship in particular and entrepreneurship in general with the faculties. He emphasized the need to create a network of institutions for promoting entrepreneurship in the vidharbha region. He also introduced the initiatives of Govt. of India through its ministry of Skill Development and entrepreneurship. Sharing his insights Mr.Raviraj explained the various awards being introduced by ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship. Director of DAIMSR, Dr. Sudhir Fulzele along with Dr. Sujit Metre and advisor of entrepreneurship cell of the institute Dr. Mujahid Siddiqui introduced the visiting members about entrepreneurship activities being conducted at DAIMSR. Prof. Majumdar appreciated the efforts of the institute and also visited the incubation centre of the institute. Various discussions were held on developing, collaborations between the institutions and also forming a joint action plan to promote social entrepreneurship in the vidarbha region. Present on the occasions were Dr. Ashutosh Paturkar, Prof. Ajay Gidwani and other members of the faculty.
